Default footwell lighting

2007-ls460

The footwell lights come on when i open the door to get into the car and then go off after a short period of time. However, they will stay on all the time after the car is started. Is that normal?can they be turned off when the engine is running?the manual is no help. tx.

Yepp, that is how they are supposed to be. I have limited experience with the LS, but I don't believe there is an option to turn those off, at least that is the case for my ES. If you do not like them I suppose you could disconnect them all together?!?

The brightness is connected to the **** for controlling thr lights on your dash, etc on the GS. Possibly the same for the ls?

You might be able to change it in the personalized settings with a factory scan tool. I know they have certain options for how long dome lights stay on, but unsure if your model has the option to turn them off completely.
