Angry Damn Nokya!!!!!

I melted the inside of my clip on my d/s headlight because I had some damn nokya's. I have read about all of this before and frankly just thought it wouldn't happen to me. I now want to know what HID kit I could use for me es (1995), or what is easiest to retro fit to the es. I am not affraid of a little modding. It would also help if I could find the kit on ebay for a good price. Please help, I have already been stopped by one cop for my light being out.

I want to actually convert my factory lighting system so it will be just like the new luxury cars. I was on ebay and saw CATZ, Phillips, and a couple of others, but I not sure what would work or what is best for the money. And no, I think the factory harrness is done for.

Phillips or Osram would be the only brands I'd use, make sure you get beam pattern exact bulbs that have been rebased so the light eminates from the same spot the original 9006 filament was, so your beam patterns remain the same.

If you're going for a retrofit, Audi TT or probably BMW 3 series would work without too much work. Tiguy99 had problems with his Audi A6, and my BMW 5 series retrofit I'm just finishing is taking alot of cutting of the light, probably wouldn't recommend that one unless you really weren't afraid of cutting things up, although I'd be glad to help with anything if you decided to go that route. Read Tiguy's thread on this page if you want to know what I've been through with mine.

Yeah, retrofitting projectors would be a great idea but it's pretty time intensive. There was a group buy for a6 projectors in a Prelude headlamp about a year ago... The asking price was 850 and that was with 30+ people involved.

I believe they are selling now for 1500 / pair... Just to give you an idea of how labor intensive it can be if you want it done right... The HID stuff itself (ballast, projector and bulbs)is probably the cost of an autolamps HID kit, but you've got to put in a lot of work to get it to work.
