Question APC Bulbs

Has anyone used APC bulbs? I'm thinking about getting these because they have an Ultra White style for the headlamps and an Icy Hot Gold style for the fogs. Also, the price is very good, which makes me wonder if they are any good. The other brand I am considering is PIAA, but those are very expensive. I would appreciate it if someone can give me info on APC bulbs. Thanx

I have the PIAA's. I love 'em. Every car I had has had PIAA's installed. If your gona get APC, I'd only get their colored bulbs for like the corners, interior or something, not the headlights.

Don't buy APC bulbs. PIAA's aren't that great either if longevity is concerned. PIAA is only known for fog lights and auxiliary lighthing systems NOT light bulbs. Leave the headlight and other bulbs to Sylvania, Phillips and etc.

good call, flipside. i couldn't agree more.
PIAA is for aux lamps, fogs, etc.
APC is for show light kind of stuff.
if you're gonna need headlights, look towards Sylvania, Nokya, MTEC (japanese lights... nice), or Philips HID/halogen

Question

If you get those MTEC bulbs don't we have to upgade the harness since it consumes more power? Or are they safe to install with out that. Any downsides? Best way is really upgrade to HID I bet. What do you guys thinks is better as far as light output and quality SILVERSTAR's or PIAA's??

well the MTEC's run on 55w plugs... so they aren't like the Nokya's that'll burn the plug after a few years of use. if you're gonna stick between sylvania's and piaa's. go with piaa for high power output/looks, and sylvania for durability and visibility.
there really isn't too much of a difference. if you're going with sylvania's most use silverstars. and piaa's it'd depend on what you want. lastability, or power.

APC=Another Piece of Crap. Do not buy these. They have blown on me, overheated and burned the wiring harness and the light quality sucks. Sylvania Silvestars are excellent for HID look bulbs. They work great.

I don't know yall, my 9005 Silverstars are too yellow, but brighter on the road. I have yet to find the perfect bulb to my liking without buying HID kit. Anyone tried PIAA extreme white plus?
