hey guys as you can see from my join date im a rookie, and im kind of confused on the next topic. i wanted to replace the stock bulbs on my 06 is250 head lights for some 6k ones. I thought the oem bulb/head lights where hid already but when i compared them to brothers (06 is350) they seem different,
we searched online and apparently his bulbs are d4s and my are h11. does that mean that my car doesnt come with the hid kit already? the reason im asking is because if im correct and my car does NOT come with an hid kit already would i need to buy an aftermarket hid kit (that would suck lol) any input is very much appreciated

Yes the h11 is NoN-xenon and you will need an aftermarket kit. Or retrofit one in.

Yes, you have to get an after market HID kit. I just converted mine like a month ago (low beam and fogs), and ordered my kids with a slim canbus to over ride the dashboard lighting up with a burned out bulb due to lower wattage.

1slowIS: Since your vehicle uses H11 halogen bulbs you would need to get a H11 HID Kit in order to upgrade your headlights to HID.
