i just got done with a ls430 retrofit for my lex the other day, and sent it to the body shop to get it installed.. i gave the shop the lights... Ls430 ballasts.... and some random 9005 HID kit, hoping this is all i needed. The people at the body shop seem to think there is something missing. Is this all i need? Do i need to use different ballasts. Someone who has done this before please point me in the right direction, thanks.

LS430 projectors use D2S bulbs. A 9005 kit won't work. Assuming you have generic ballasts, you will need a D2S adapter and D2S bulbs to use the HID kit.

When you say you gave LS430 ballasts? do you mean D2S Denso ballast? If so, there is no need for the 9005 hid kit. Also did you give them the D2S bulbs?

Here is what they need:
retrofitted GS400 headlights
D2S ballast
D2S bulbs
9006 wire harness (Shop should supply this)

the ballasts are from an Ls430, and i have d2s bulbs with the d2s connectors. The shop is saying i dont have the necessary amount of plugs in order to convert the stock harness.

yes, denso ballast, and yes they have the bulbs.
