No, they don't come on when I turn on the low beams. Are they supposed to? If so it's just one more thing I need to replace...

Hey guys where can I buy these very yellow bulbs and are they better than 3000K HID's? I am already running 6000k HID low beams and think these would be a great addition.

Thanks

A 3000K HID Kit will get you the brightest possible output however if you want to upgrade using halogen bulbs here is where you can find the Putco Jet Yellow bulbs discussed in this thread.

You won't be disappointed. I know I am biased but I have them installed on my personal vehicle.

Also got the Putco Jet Yellow bulbs on, after dealing with a couple failed HID kits(flickering, one on one off) tried these and they fit the bill exactly! Same bright vivid yellow for a fraction of the cost, and 500% more reliable than HIDs!

Mesca,

I wouldn't classify all HID kits in the same boat but I am happy that you are enjoying your Putco bulbs :-)

Are the putco normal 55watts or they require more 80-100watts like those ebay bulbs?

Are the Putco bulbs actually functional in terms of better visibility in fog or low visibility, or is just more for aesthetics? I was considering changing my white fogs on my 97 LS400 to yellow, because A. I love yellow foglights and B. I feel like yellow lights cut threw the fog better than white.

I personally feel that they Putco Jet Yellow Halogen bulbs do emit a more functional light output than the stock bulbs.

Give the Putcos an A+

Got them installed this week. Perfect light output, not too bright or overwhelming. Much better than standard halogen
