judging from these posts, putco seems to be a good choice. i currently have stock gs yellow fogs, and was wondering if putco bulbs will help make it more yellow.
Are the Putco bulbs actually functional in terms of better visibility in fog or low visibility, or is just more for aesthetics? I was considering changing my white fogs on my 97 LS400 to yellow, because A. I love yellow foglights and B. I feel like yellow lights cut threw the fog better than white.
A yellow light does in fact cut through dense fog more effectively than a whiter light. Yellow emits at a lower frequency than whiter light therefore cutting through the fog much better. This is why when you turn on your brights when driving through fog it only exacerbates the problem giving you a massive glare on the road ahead. It's not only an aesthetic upgrade to go to yellow but a functional one as well. A wise investment.

The lights which are shown above are the best yellow lights. I have researched on this topic for 1 year and then i came to this conclusion.
