Welcome to CL! First thing we need to know is if you have HID equipped lights. If so it could be a bad bulb or ballast. If you have regular halogen lights I'm not sure. Either way, if you still have a warranty on you car you should head to the dealer so you can get it taken care of possibly for free under the warranty.

Thanks for the welcome. Warranty is out (used car). How would I determine HID or halogen. The inner (closest to grill) light appears to be halogen i.e. it's not a "white light" the outer bulb appears to be white. If it helps the bulbs level when I start the car at night. I didn't think bulb b/c the light works at times and not at others. Also didn't think ballast since the light doesn't flicker...it's either off or on. My thought is a loose wire somewhere, but I didn't know if there was a common problem that I wasn't aware of.

You have HID's since it levels itself. I think it is the bulb. One way you can trouble shoot is swap the bulbs places left and right. The problem will follow the bulb if that is what it is. That is free so check that out first before spending money. Hopefully it is the bulbs since you can pick them up fairly cheaply.

I have the same problem and was wondering what the issue was with your vehicle.

The issue was the bulb! I had it fixed under warranty by Lexus.
