personally i'm a fan of mobilehid based on meeting cliff at more than 1-2 meets, he makes a big effort to get out to this community and has been a part for a good amount of time.

i didnt get a reply to the hidextra comparison
i'm also trying to pick a good fog color (i have LS430 retro fit which should be 4300k)... should i get 3000k, 4300k or 6000k for the fog? |
legend6speed - sorry man, i didn't get your PM or see your message here.
not sure how HID extra kits compare but if you want cheap stuff like that, I have some cheap kits available for purchase as they were acquired for testing. if you want a good fog color to match your retro setup, I would guess go with 4300k unless you want a 3k color temp for your fogs to give it that accented JDM look. Thanks. clifford |
would it be weird if i have 4300k HID for low beam and then use 6000k for fog?
i also plan on doin the fog mod where fog can be turned on on its own (in a sense use it as the DRL) .... if that's the case would 6000k make a lil more sense for a bit more show? btw, i'm all for quality over price. but at $60 the HIDextra sounds pretty good. i'm just wondering just how exactly do these kits compare - other than the fact one is 'cheap'... i'd like to get a real world comparison. thanks! |
I wouldn't say it would be weird but just not a color combination that most people will go with. What you'll end up with are fogs that "look" white while your 4300k low beams will
appear comparatively yellow. If you go with the same color (either 4300k or 6000k), you won't have that effect. |
