Quote: I got my kit today...ordered H7 kit for my 2008 BMW 5 series. (My lexus has HID standard)...
The packaging was EH...for the guys with all the flickering issues did you get error cancellators/anti flicker cables? I got them with my kit but I am not installing it getting someone else to do it ...Just thought that cable might help some of you with the flickering issue.

8k supposed to be blue or light blue? Or white with blue? Every kit is different I don't know if anyone has the 8k kit from HIDextra.
im thinking 8k is hella blue...my 5k is too much blue for me

I have H3 3000k. They start up with a green-ish tint, and then turn yellow once they warm up after 30 seconds or so. I have no relays, slim ballasts, and no flicker. FYI, the IS300's fog lens comes with a yellow tint.

so what's the current discount code? i'm trying to order a set of H3 6000K slim ballast HID conversions for my fogs due to the fact that i had crappy ones in there.

i'm a returning customer.....i don't mind paying full price but if i can use a disount code i'll use it!

Quote: lately i've been having problems with my pass side fog hid. they will both fire up and sometimes it will take only a few minutes and sometimes it's will be like 30 minutes but it goes out. i turn the switch off and turn it back on then it's fine again for a few minutes. could this be a bad ballast? i wasn't the one that installed your kit so i'm not 100% sure how they wired they up. i know it wasn't all plug-n-play.
I have the same problem. Will try the bulb swap and get back to you.

Thanks for the customer service.

For those of you doing the HID conversion for your halogen low beams did you have to modifiy the bulb holder? Do you guys think its safe to mount ballast with zip ties/3M or drill a hole?

if you order the correct bulb type, you should not need to modify the bulb holder but some requires to drill holes on the light plastic cover for the kit. zip tie would be fine and is what I did (it comes with the kit too, but too short for my installation)
