Default HID problem?

I wasn't sure where to post this but I suspect its related to my HID's. I always keep my headlights on Auto mode and the other day as I was driving I went under a bridge and as soon as the headlights turned on, the car turned off then turned on half a second after. I checked the clock and it was reset to 1:00. Anyone know what could cause this? I searched and people with similar problems had their stereo or dash lights going dim, but mine didn't to that at all; it just instantly died without any warning. It happened again yesterday in my garage. I put the key in the ignition and before i could start it, the lights came on and the car died and turned on half a second later again. I have an aftermarket HID kit hooked up to a wire harness. Sorry for the run-on sentences.

sounds like you might ahve connection problems at the battery. try cleaning the terminals first is my suggestion and see if that helps.

I'm going to guess that you actually have a loose ground or power connection on your battery. this might have happened when you installed your kit.
