Default New HID's in SC300 with pics

I just installed the Xenon Depot kit and was blown away by the improvement. I got the 4300k with the Philips bulbs. I didn't realize the stock SC300 lights are so poor, but take a look at the difference ! I can't wait to finish it up and go for a drive. Initially I was thinking of cleaning the projectors, getting new lenses, (it's a '94) etc etc, but the difference is amazing, I think the housings are fine. (yes, LED parking lights are on the way )

I've had a few PMs about the parking lights. The LEDs came today, they are the V-LEDs 5 SMT. I'm not sure if anything bigger (brighter) will fit since that whole assembly fits right up into a clear dome shaped housing within the headlight. I guess the bottom line is no, they don't really "match" the 4300K HIDs, but I think they look way better than the stock parking lights. compare with my pic above, it really looks like there is an amber bulb in there next to the HID. Now it's kinda the other way around, with the HID being super white and the parking light more purplish, but I think it looks good.

You might want to clean your projectors. Your cutoff-line and beam pattern is very blurry compared to mine. Here is my 4300k hid kit.

Also did you notice how your hids are white when looking at the projector, yet blue on the wall? While my projector is blue yet the light on the wall is white.

I actually thought the cutoff looked pretty good. That pic might be a little overexposed, making it look washed out, I didn't mess with any camera settings, it was in auto, more or less just to show the difference between the left and the right. I'll have to take another look in person. I have the philips bulbs which I understand change color slightly after they burn in.

Are you looking for something specific, or just general info? I assume you can swap the bulbs, the wiring is plug and play, they come with the appropriate connectors and will only go one way. The only "difficult" or I should say time consuming part is mounting the ballasts and hiding the wiring. There is no right or wrong way. There are plenty of places to shove the excess wiring and zip tie it out of sight and out of the way. I got 12v power from the fuse box mounted on the drivers side fender. It was very convenient. You could connect to the battery, but mine is in the trunk. I also have the radiator overflow and windshield washer bottles where the battery was, so you may or may not have more access there in that corner. you can find an existing bolt somewhere to attach the ground wire. I also found an existing bolt to mount the relays. No drilling required.
