Default Thought all HID's were easy to install!

Friend of mine gave me a set of hid ballasts from the Acura CL 2000. I was planning on using them for the 97 fogs. However, I can't seem to get the bulbs to light up. You would think most hid ballasts have 4 wires, 2 for pwr/gnd, and 2 for the bulbs. Well, the CL ballasts have 5 wires, 2 for pwr/gnd, and 3 for the bulbs. That's what I can't figure out. How is it possible to wire this onto the sc300? I've included a picture. Any ideas?

The 3 wire is for the ignitor, you can get it from dealer or ebay. btw this is a incomplete thing. what you have there is a ballast, you are missing the ignitor and power wire.

True... however, I'm a person who really like figuring things out when I'm stuck. Does anybody have any knowledge of this?

What do you mean power wire? Do you mean a power wire coming from the igniter, or the ballast? My headlamps are hid's as well, and I don't remember it having an igniter.

Update:
I think I know what you mean by the igniter. This should be the part that plugs onto the bulb right? Well, I cut out the igniter because my hid bulbs are h3 with 2 wires coming from each. You can't plug these bulbs onto the ignitor, so what option do I have besides getting another set of ballasts. I just think there must be way of using the 3 wires, and lighing up the bulbs. God... nobody know huh?

it's not as simple as just plug the wires to the bulb...

You shouldn't have cutoff the bulb connector/iqnitor.

what you do need is one of these to hook up to your existing bulb...

http://www.dxhid.com/purchasehidparts.htm

This is what it would be like to hook them up..

honestly, I'd go with a normal kit if I were you. why hack perfectly good OEM ballasts and risk ruining them when you can sell them as OEM parts and then pick up a kit for almost the same amt of money?

Yeah.. I give up! I should not have cut the ignitor. But too late, I'll just find a set of ballasts on Ebay instead. Rite on...
