so i have a 1999 sc300 and noticed a lot of things are different then the previous years. i just bought a set of hids plug and play and was wondering should i take apart the headlights and give them a nice clean including the lenses and plug the HIDs in or go with the retrofit from a tsx?

first off... read up on the forums.... it will answer your question.....


plug and play are the easiest and the cheapest upgrade....in terms on headlights...

retrofit require more work and more money....

cleaning the lens will make it look nice.... you dont necessarily need to take apart the housing to do so... you might get away with just cleaning the outside...

if you do take apart the lens.... you'll have to bake them to crack them open.... when you do... clean it up ... de-line them if you wish... close them up rebake.... etc.... (jsut to let you know it'll be a butt load of work to clean the inside)

plug and play you jsut pop them in and go (make sure the polarity is correct when you do so otherwise it wont light up)
