Question LED rear turn signals change blinker speed?

Okay guys, sorry to ask this here, but I would rather ask advice from my fine CL brothers and sisters than go to a Handa forum... I just installed LED turn signals, like these:

In my girlfriends 2006 Honda Civic EX coupe and now they work and look great however when she uses her blinkers (turn signals) they blink much fast than they did before. I realize that taking those bulbs out changed the resistance (impedance) of that circuit and thus could have affect the blink rate, but what I dont know is whether or not this is going to be a bad thing... Will this cause any damage or cause anything to wear out in the long run?

What has been your guys' experience when changing to LED turn signals with Lexus's? Thanks for your help everyone!

you get a bulb light on the dash. you can buy some inline resistors to change/regulate that, superbriteleds.com has them. they also have better looking bulbs than that also.
