Hi all,

I just purchased a 2000 rx300. I know for sure I do not have the xenon lights, but do all rx300's come with hids? If so how can I check and find out. If I dont have them can I buy an oem hid and just hook it up or is there a special wiring harness and such I would need to buy.

I believe the 2000 model year for the RX did NOT come with HID. You're best bet to improve your lighting without upgrading to HID is going to be Sylvania Silverstar halogen bulbs.

 

How would I go about upgrading to hids? I dont mind spending the extra money I just dont know what is needed. Can I buy oem hids from ebay and just pop them in or do I need all sorts of wiring changes etc.

I wasn't able to gain much from searching, so if you still have questions, you might want to include a post in the RX forum to see who has done an upgrade on their Halogen RX300s.
