GS300 SportDesign HID vs. GS430 HID?
According to Lexus, the SportDesign package has HID lights that are "Titanium Finished". Does anyone know how this differs from GS430 HID lights? I was trying to see if there is a difference in the way it looks, or if one is brighter than the other...but no side by side pics available that I could find. Is there really a titanium piece that gives it a different look when lit, or is it just an aesthetic thing that doesn't affect the actual lighting power of the car?

Its just for looks (and it looks SOOOO much better IMHO) DaveGS4 has them i believe...but they have nothing to do with light out put...Lexus also have green tinted headlights also very nice....

Its just the color of the chrome spray paint LExus used to paint the plastic trims. If you really like it you can find some on Ebay. Paint's like 150.00 though. Probably cheaper vs buying the lamps but then again you can probably find some through www.car-parts.com at a yard for cheap.
If you went the painting route, its super easy. Do the oven method to open them (see my other thread) and then unscrew that one small center screw on the trim and it comes right off. Set it aside from your headlamp and use a tiny flat wedge to pop out the turn signal trim piece and spray away!!!!!!
Depending on the paint, let it dry for a few hours and when ready, snap the signal cylinder thing back in (it goes in one way anyway so its prett easy to do) and reverse the precedure to unassemble the thing and you're golden. (Err shall I say platinum Chrome?)
