Replacing corner parking bulbs with LED's???
Hey guys,
Currently, my parking bulbs are yellow like this:http://home.earthlink.net/~petrie2001/Picture%20019.jpg I would like to make them a whiter hue with a bulb like the polarg M4's. However, I was also thinking of replacing them with LED's like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2452859336 What would the benefit be of using LED's...Is it even possible??? What would you guys do??? |
well some people changed their bulbs on the GS to led, but seems like they burn out pretty fast
|
but arent LEDs supposed to last so much longer than regular bulbs???

yeah i know led is supposed to last longer. not only the 6led i have seen here, on acura board someone put led in his car and they all blew out here and there, he finally broke down and changed back to wedge and been good ever since. i can't explain too

Yeah, I've seen some others post pics of their polarg m4's and m6's and they look good. I think im gonna try to squeeze a pair of m6's into the RX.

If you want to buy leds then I would try this website http://www.superbrightleds.com/1157.htm, they are like $1.50 and $5 flat shipping charge.
Thats where I am going to order mine from, Ill let you know how it works out. |

mwbuck,
Did you ever replace them with something? My '02 RX has the factory HID's and I also wanted to change out those yellowish looking bulbs to something nice and white. Thanks. Steevr |
Nah, I haven't done anything yet. After reading other people's posts about the Polarg M6's I think I'm gonna pick up a pair of them.

Bought and installed the PIAA white LED's today. Each bulb assembly contains two LED's in it for maximum brightness. Polarity is important, so if you plug them into the socket and they don't light, don't freak out. Pull the bulb out of the socket, rotate the bulb 180 degrees and push it back into the socket. The 3 pix attached are a closeup of the bulbs and a before and after picture.
