Converting HID to Halogen on an '01 GS 300
Hello all,
I recently purchased a 2001 GS 300 that was in a front end accident. I noticed that the car has mismatched headlight assemblies, the passenger side is HID and the driver's side is Halogen (which has nothing hooked up to low or high beam). However, the car has the plugs and wiring for HID. Is it possible to rewire or convert the HID plugs on the driver's side to support a halogen bulb? I'm not really worried about consistency and just need both headlights to work using the cheapest option. If not, then should I just get a new assembly with a ballast and igniter? Any help would be much appreciated!

If you're patient you can find a good used HID assembly for the drivers side. You can convert to halogen by hacking the wiring harness a bit, but then you'll have vastly inferior halogen lighting. If Ebay is not helping you try these
