Dutch Runway: #001 Lexus LFA and Lexus ISF flat out

The #001 Lexus LFA stored in the museum, comes out to the runway to play.

LF-A and IS-F - YouTube

 WOW, thanks for sharing!

Not Norwegian :) Dutch (The Netherlands).

I actually made this video (with my crappy phone). I was invited by Lexus Netherlands for this event. The drive I had with the IS-F trying to keep up with the LF-A I didn't record for obvious reasons. But lifetime memories were made that day :)

Thanks for the video. A moderator reading this thread could maybe change it to Netherlands? :p

So you were the passenger in the IS-F? Yes, the LFA vanished into the horizon very quickly, but it was an entertaining video nonetheless.:thumbup:

Very cool to see.

I got into the IS-F, thought it was fast, then drove the IS-F and wanted to buy one, then into the LF-A and thought the IS-F was slow.....

Then got into my own car.......

It is amazing how the LF-A sticks to the road, where the IS-F was skidding, the LF-A was like " So what's the problem?"

Just the little stones and dirt on the runway hitting the IS-F broke my heart. The wheels of the LF-A also had to be repaired.

Thanks for posting the video!

It is always interesting to compare the IS-F, which itself is already faster than probably 98-99% of the cars you'd see on any given road, to supercars like the LFA and realize how many levels the LFA is above even cars like the IS-F. And it's crazy to think it's another jump above the LFA to real race cars, much less things like F1 cars. I always enjoyed those videos from F1 events by companies like Mercedes comparing the F1 cars to pretty fast road-going cars to "normal" road-going cars.

Thanks! Yes, the difference between an IS250 and the IS-F is about the same as the IS-F to the LF-A in my opinion. So I can only imagine LF-A to F1.

Awesome details. Thanks for sharing. Must be great to experience such adrenaline rush. Please do share, if you have more videos.

Regarding the clip from the LFA's cabin near the end, can you translate what was being talked about? Looked to me like the drilver was calling out the speed? What was the max speed the driver was hitting on that runway before he was letting off?

My guess is, since he was going really to the top of 5th gear, it must be somewhere between 280 - 290 km/h (around ~ 180 mph)?:thumbup:

Yes, he was calling out the speeds and distance to the braking point.

Highest speed he called out was 270kph. He explained how they reached 280kph on a previous run.

#001 Lexus LFA on the race track vs other supercars. Makes all other cars sound ordinary.
