Default LFA Warranty in Canada?

Hi,

Does anybody on the board have any experience or knowledge about Toyota honouring the LFA warranty if a car is imported into Canada from the United States? I have heard of a couple of cars being imported to Canada and was interested to know if they encountered any problems having the warranty remain valid.

Thanks in advance.

I believe they are honored fully.

I would recommend calling Lexus of Kelowna, BC that just sold a black LFA imported from Dallas, TX. They should be able to give you all details. I would definitely say, they honor the warranty 100%.

Out of curiosity, do you have an American imported LFA?

This is something that you should definitely get in writing from someone at the corporate level at Lexus - not from the dealership level.

I believe this is the one in Edmonton. You will have to check with them to see if it is still available for sale. Keep us updated.

Yes, that is the one. One of only 10 in Canada.

Currently unlisted, but I've been told a meeting for a potential buyer can be had. The asking figure is in the $450k range

Either way, email farid@lexussp.com for more info. Tell him Stefan sent you.

There are 12 in total. 2 of them were imported from US (a black one and a white one).

But then, the silver one in Calgary is kept in Florida by the owner in his second home most of the year except the summer months when he brings it here.

Sorry, I should be clear when making statements.

As my understanding goes, 10 were imported by Lexus for direct sale in Canada. With that said, examples could very well walked across border lines north and south alike.
