LF-A at Autobahn Country
Found this on the Corvette forum, he had a great opportunity to drive the LFA, and took some pretty good videos.

Wow!! That is probably the first video of the production model LFA and I can see the difference of the prototype versus the production LFA. The transmission is insanely responsive.
Just wow! His write-up at the Corvette board was gushing with praises. :eek2: |
first guy drives good

Flip, is it just me or actually the production black LFA being driven in the video has a difference in responsiveness compared to say, the yellow prototype??
The #P014 Pearl Yellow LFA obviously feels better than the Matte Black car...but thats only a given as it has way more miles and was one of the first out there. I have video of the Pearl Yellow LFA when we were in NorCal a few weeks ago prior to the LFA Driving school. As soon as that video is done, I will share it with you all and my experiences with driving the LFA in and around the streets of San Francisco. |
Thanks flip. Looking forward to watching the videos and other details.:thumbup:
I also looked very closely and looking at the dial on the side, looks like the transmission is one notch below the fastest shift in the two videos since the little white mark points upwards when it is at the fastest speed. Still the responsiveness seems very different than the yellow prototype.

Your observation may be right. I would expect the production version to drive a lot more tighter than the two prototypes. From what I was told, Scott Pruett commented how much better the new car felt over the other two. I have yet to drive the newest LFA, but if I ever do I will definitely report back what i've experienced.

I would like to know how to get on the list to test drive the LFA, even if it is only for 2 laps like the original poster mentioned. What a treat that would be.

I was at the event on Saturday. Had the fastest autocross lap time in my group and for the day up to that point. Got to ride passenger in the LFA with Justin Bell driving. It is an amazing car! Love the sound! I did not get to drive it though. The fastest autocross lap of the day wins a spot in the Speed Dream Ride contest. Have not gotten a call yet, so my fastest time probably did not hold for the day?

Considering these guys on the forums are Corvette owners, I am very surprised at how many of those are open minded and sensible they are in their appreciation for the LFA (ofcourse, a few are snobs).
