Gas Guzzler $3700, boo.

Delivery was only $2400 for all that amazing transit.

The car has winglets and headlamp washers and came in at $381,400.

I think the chassis is 035 and have asked for confirmation.
Whats the vin#. I can tell you what # it is.

There is a white car that was ordered by a customer who decided just before it arrived that he wanted a different color. That car was available a few weeks ago.

I can't get over the cheap transportation.

Those movie stars that de-van the cars must be expensive (can't you see those guys in a Bond film) and then there is the 18 wheeler service in this case from CA to FL.

What do you mean nothing, if he put up the $60K, he definitely got the glass sculpture.
i wonder how much delivery is on cars like lamborghini, maybe tommy can chime in. but 2400 does sound pretty reasonable

so the car is for sale, thanks for confirming!

$2,400 is very cheap. Shipping a car via air is very time consuming and more labor intensive than it looks. The car has to be pressure tested, etc., before shipment. I think it gets three cycles and has to be held at high altitude low pressures for so many hours before the cars are loaded. Then there is the whole shipping cradle that has to be coordinated. Is that the price from the factory to the dealer? If so, that's a very good price.

I believe my transport from Italy to Seattle was around $10k last year. I don't remember exactly. The UK car was less, but I don't remember the number either. As for ground once in the US, I've shipped cars between Seattle and LA about a half dozen times and it varies depending on urgency from as high as $2k to as low as $850.00 if we ship as a group of six. If you're on an open schedule, it's common to pay around $1,200-$1,400 each way. East/west gets tricky because of carrier routes, depots, etc.

Toyota has their own distribution system so it's relatively cheap in the context of a whole truck already making that same route. The only unique step is from the airport to the motor distribution point. There are lots and lots of considerations with private transports that can dramatically impact the price. Also are all LFAs coming through a single point of US entry?

Yes, Long Beach,CA. Toyota Logistics Services handles it from the time it arrives by container all the way to delivery to the dealership's door.

It's a very nice delivery process, but $2400 is market for exotics as far as the delivery/processing on the sticker. The 458 is actually a tiny bit less although the Gallardo is around 3k based on the stickers I've seen. The MP4-12C is also supposed to be $2400.

All LFAs come via boat. No air freight, not even as an option.

By boat, that's about right. Gallardos often come by boat, Murcielagos by air.

This person should've delayed the order to see the actual cars before deciding on color...
Is this someone you know? how much did it cost him/her to do this?

Default Stealth LFAs

Based on March numbers, 17 LFAs were sold. However, our list is showing only 13 in the US.

Between the white and red ones that we don't have car #'s for and the white one (possibly #29?) belonging to one of the guys in my group at Infineon, that only leaves one totally unaccounted for. Not too bad.

Isn't the demo car actually leased from the factory? Is it possible they count that one as "sold" given that it's an actual production car and not pre-production. Then there is that white car that was to go to a customer who wanted a different color.

LFA #32 is owned by Lexus USA so definitely counts, and it's also on our list. The matte black and pearl yellow are prototypes.

I did count the white car that the buyer didn't complete the sale on as one of the three. But maybe it isn't counted in the sales figures since it isn't technically sold, so it's possible we have two LFAs entirely unaccounted for. Based on the VIN the white one on the lot should be LFA #37.
