LFA: 37,000,000 Yen for Japan plus Taxes.
Just got the price for the LFA today and with taxes it will work out to about 40,000,000 yen, and I will have a pamphlet very shortly and orders will begin next week. That works out to about $390K US dollars converted and $420K with taxes included.
Are scans allowed of a pamphlet? If there is no problem I will post the scans ASAP.
It will be interesting as to what price you guys will see in the States as obviously it will be different.

So 390K converted USD before taxes? That means that it's almost guaranteed the price in the US will land between 300 - 350K. Certainly not the ridiculous 400K and 500K numbers some people were predicting . No, this is not a cheap car by any means, but considering what this car offers, it really is going to be relative bargain (when compared to other exotic supercar competition).

Of course, that does not mean they will price it this way for the US market, but my guess is it would be $350K+, & likely closer to US$400K before tax, close to what's been reported here before in a post about info from US dealer source ......

37,000,000 Yen before tax, with Yen/USD exchange rate at 89.472 right now, that's equivalent to US$413,537 before tax.

My interpretation of "$300K range" means it can be anywhere from just over $300K to nearly $400K. (i.e. price starts with 3 ...)
It all depends on what exchange rate one wants to use to convert the Japanese price to US. With the USD so weak now, the Japanese price will make it look very expensive when converted to USD.
Since the car won't be available for sale for a while yet. Nobody knows what the exchange rate WILL BE when it's finally available for delivery.
But I suppose they can set the US price at whatever they want regardless of the exchange rate too.
I wonder what the Canadian price will be set at LOL, or is Canada getting any LFA's at all ? . The Canadian $ has been rising towards par against the USD recently too, it's at 0.9792 right now ...

Just use the current IS-F pricing difference as a good comparo...
Approx FX current rates..
BASE MODEL IS-F in USA -> MSRP = $58,635 USD ($5,246,400 in JPY)
BASE MODEL IS-F in JP -> MSRP= $7,800,00 YEN ($87,200 in USD)

Um, if you're going to scan anything, I suggest that you watermark it to prevent other sites from copying, because that's what others have done with advance info in the past. Also, it might pre-empt the official announcement...I wish there were a way to password-protect such materials because these days some unscrupulous sites will plaster them everywhere as if they took the photos themselves. So at this point I'd consider keeping those for your eyes only, even though I would like to see them too.
On the topic itself...that is an eye-watering price, but then again in this sector, all those zeros are, whether it's a Ferrari or a Porsche...and as before, the JDM price translates not directly to prices elsewhere.

The thread posted by TOYSPORT states a US price in the 300K range. flipside909 vouches that the info posted is very reliable. It also makes sense given the conversion rate, and how typically after conversion US prices are lower compared to Japanese converted prices. Based on what Dave600hL has posted here, I can't see how it will cost close to 400K in the US before taxes.
I think we all should calm down, step back and wait for the official pricing from Lexus on the LFA. The 21st is just around the corner. Take what you read and see on the forums with a grain of salt. All the info being posted is all hearsay until official from Lexus or Toyota Motor Corp themselves.

US$260,000 sounds pretty good to me, but since only 150 is available here, they might decide to price it a lot higher than that ...

Well it looks like we certainly won't know until next week at the earliest.
I would hope Canada gets at least some LFAs allocated, so I can maybe see one in person .

There will be only a few of us here that is actually serious in buying the LF A. Most of us including myself can only dream of owning one. I think pricing whether if it's $300k or $400k, has no bearing on the buyer of this car.
This happens every year with a new model release....the "experts" come out of their cave and start becoming fanatical with information they only obtained online or print media. It's funny but most everyone here speculating and complaining about the price of the LF A have no intention of buying one, let alone afford one. Whatever the price will be, i'm sure it will be worth every penny to whoever can shell out the cash.
