Default 1997 SC300 Original 5 speed ( 1 of 120 )

This is a 1997 SC300 original 5 speed . It is one of the still running 1 of 120 with a low mileage of less than 115k. It has new tokico shocks . It is ready for boost with the oil pan having a -10an return oil fitting. It's W58 has a Clutch Master FX400 clutch and pressure plate. DaveH who is well known in the 2jz NA-T community on Supraforums made 600rwhp on that clutch. Some people at the Supraforums 2JZ NA-T community have been pushing it to 500-600rwhp with the said clutch / pressure plate. But I wouldn't if I want the W58 to last longer of course. That transmission isn't meant for those RWHP.

I have started to wind down from 6 to 2 or maybe 3 2jzGTE SCs for my toys since I am still hoarding and not ready to let go of my 4 6speed MKIVs at this point . I have already sold one 1997 SC300 5 speed locally and am keeping one of those 1 of 120. I am willing to sell this car for $12.5k and I will get it a good paint job or you get the paint job and I will discount the cost of the paint job. It definitely will need a paint job because of small dings and dents. This car has a clean title . I had this I believe for around 5 years now. I had a 2jzgte with V160 6 speed on this car and decided to put it back to stock drive train since am letting it go. If I had to keep this car now , I will simply go NA-T before re-installing a 2jzGTE / V160 6 speed since the engine and trans are low mileage and ready to be boosted . A good daily driver with 400-500rwhp.

If you have something to trade , if I am interested with your trade , I can do that too. It doesn't have to be a vehicle. It can be performance parts for my toys. I just don't need this car anymore .

Price - $12.5k negotiable of couse

SC400 with 2jzgte is not anymore available .

I have been asked if $12.5k is really my price for this original 5 speed 1997 SC300 . Answer is NO . I was trying to separate those serious from the curious .

I am willing to let go of this car for a more reasonable price as long as I see you being serious , just give me your offer. As long as it is not a ridiculous one , I will let it go. I know it needs a good paint job and some minor stuff and have to get it shipped so I will take those into consideration.

Will be willing to trade for something I maybe interested in just give me your trade offer , you never know I like it.

Interested in a minty 1998 Lexus GS300 and a beater/daily 2000 Acura TL? I'd trade ya both for the SC. I have too many cars (you know how that is) and have always wanted a manual SC.

I'd be a player for the right money. The problem with a car like this is, if it's hit by someone, or damaged in any way, you're out the investment as insurance doesn't care about 1 of 120 with a car like this. I'm in the northern Atlanta burbs too. Shoot me a PM with where you have to be on this car. I don't want to insult you in any way. If it's something I can entertain, I'll come see the car. $12.5 isn't close for me, as the car just isn't worth that, but it never hurts to ask.

Thanks so much!

Yeah, that's what bothers me about taking a risk like this too. I have my eyes on an RSP SC that I would be overpaying for, but I know if it were to ever get totaled, I'd lose about $5000.

You guys are using the wrong insurance.

On cars like these you get "Agreed Value" policies where you insure the car for a figure you're comfortable with. I have it on mine. It costs a quarter of what State Farm was charging me for their "one-scratch-and-it's-totalled" policy.

^^^ +1 get the right insurance

I would have been in a mess if my insurance will pay me only $1k for any of my high hp 1992 Lexus SC or only $30k for any of my 6 speed MKIVs if any of them are totaled. But instead my insurance will pay me $40k for any of my two 1992 Lexus SCs and $90k for any of my four 6 speed MKIVs ... if any of them is totalled or stolen. As long as you can prove to the insurance company like having an appraised document that your car is worth that much together with all the parts receipts then you can get an agreed value price. But of course you will be paying a premium for that value you are insuring them for.

As previously mentioned , the price mentioned is to separate the curious from the serious. I hate to waste my time with tire kickers cause this car truly doesn't have to leave me until the right buyer pops up. One can have the money but couldn't find and buy the car he or she wants . I just want it to go to someone who really know about them and will treasure it and would be willing to give that someone a real good deal. Until then , it can stay in my back yard peacefully .

Wow....if those numbers are true, you're better off getting someone to "accidentally" run a red light as you go thru it....or "forget" to take the keys out the ignition as you go shopping one day, lololol.
Good luck with your sell though. I have an 02 5sp IS300 that I most definitely wouldn't sell unless I got what I wanted for it. Beast cars/motors and super rare to find in good shape.
