FS: 1995 SC300 (Auto, 103K Miles)
I may regret this at some point in time but I believe it's time for me to part with my Jade Green 1995 Lexus SC300 with Tan Leather Interior. I always wanted to keep it and perform an engine and/or tranny swap but I've never had the time/money/skill to do it. Its an Automatic. It hasn't been my daily driver for a while and the mileage reflects that. I used to take it out on weekends and nice days but now that our family has grown, that doesn't happen as much as I would like. I won't be leaving the Lexus family as I believe I'll replace the SC with an IS or a GS. I figured I would post on ClubLexus first to see if it could go to a good home. It’s in good shape for the year and I still get compliments when I take it out.
The Good:
103K miles
Tein Basic Coilovers
Pioneer Headunit with Relay for TV.
HID Low Beams
HID Fogs
19" x 8.5" ADR Sterlings
Timing belt has already been changed
The Bad:
Needs new pads and rotors
Paint could be better, but its pretty good for a car that is 20 years old.
Its had some parking lot bumps so some body work has been done to the car (front bumper, rear bumper, front passenger side fender) All were less than 5mph bumps.
Driver seat is starting to get some cracks in the leather
Antenna is broken (might have this fixed before car is sold)
Every once in a while you'll hear some feedback/static from the rear factory sub, but I have a feeling that's either a grounding issue or a lose wire.
Believe the Rear Upper Control Arm Bushings need to be replaced since you can hear a little squeak from that area. I believe this is common for the 95 SC's for some reason.
I'm looking for $4,500 cash or would consider a trade for a 2006 -2009 IS350, GS350, or GS430 (plus cash on my side, of course).
