1997 Platinum Metallic SC400 in Excellent Condition
Hello,
Its a 1997 Lexus SC400. It is the most reliable and problem free car I have ever owned.
Looking to move on to a 4door or SUV and start a family so this beautifully awesome car might have to go. Make an offer and if it's in the ball park we can make a deal Appreciate the interest and all friendly replies, car info below
1997 Lexus SC400
auto, 182k miles- always serviced by Lexus of Lehigh
power everything, 4.0 Lexus v8-bulletproof, brand new $1200 all-season Bridgestone Potenza tires on upgraded 2008 IS350 18" rims. All belts changed within last year, oil changed on time always.
No Check Engine Lights
Exterior is Lexus Platinum Metallic which is like a blueish silver, changes color with light of day, factory original paint in great condition. A few small nicks here and there nothing at all major on the exterior, no rust. Originally a Florida car. Have all service records. Has dual airbags, Traction control, heated front seats, tilt/telescoping steering wheel.
Interior is nice too, Black leather seats in front are cracking but no rips or tears, back seat at the very top has two small tears that might require some stitching or replacement.
Dash is perfect, In-dash DVD/CD-Navigation system. Power moonroof, heat working great, the best Clifford 2way alarm you can buy with a cell phone like transponder that works from over 1000 ft away to monitor car.
Within past 3 months, new partsinstalled/services done:
Full tune up, brake lines, alternator, battery, air filter, fuel filter, synthetic oil change, serpentine belt
Im open to all offers that are reasonable. Hate to give this car up, owned for almost 6 years and have loved every minute of it. Very rare to begin with, super rare in this color combo, and incredibly rare in good, unmolested condition for under 8k.
Thank you

I love this car. It is driving like new, after tuneup has registered full tanks of gas netting 305/321/328 miles driven with a/c on the whole time. The new tires now have about 150 miles on them and grip beautifully performing great in the rain. Had the a/c serviced by Lexus and its blowing colder and better than ever.
The issue though is that this car by KBB standards and by craigslist standard lowballing isnt worth $5k.
Im selling it to the RIGHT person. This person would be someone like me. Someone who sees the value in keeping her for a long time. Knows that the car is worth it because of the reliability, the style, the exclusivity. My price is more based on the rarity of this carin this condition being great and rare, and the overall hard-to-find nature of this particular year. Its not as upgradeable as the 300, its not a VVTi and its not the older version which some people favor. It is a 1997 sc400 and for the right person, this is the car theyve always wanted. Thats what it was to me and thats why my price is fairly high compared to the worth of the car. I dont want to sell it but if I get the price I am looking for then i know it will serve the next person as well as its served me.
The right person will see the collectability and the pride of ownership. The right person will appreciate a car for under 5k that looks better than any of the new plastic, electronic, souless pretenders. I wait for that person and know that when they come forward, they will be a kindred spirit and letting go of my car will not be as hard.
The point of this all... I dont know, just saying, I know what I got and the person who gets it has gotta want it
$4750 obo
