I'm sure by the time you find one at that price you would have saved up more. The fact is you will get what you pay for and at the moment a $28k ISF is shady at best. We are both looking for isf's at the moment so I'm sure you've noticed by now that the search will take some time, and it should. Spending $40k on a used car is a lot. Just continue to save and I'm sure when you find the right one your budget will be higher. Good luck to u on ur search!

No one can tell you how to spend your money or what to aim for. We are only here to help you.. but.....

I dont make more much than you and I know this would be my thinking.....

28 years old and 3-4k takehome? If you are only willing to spend 28k~ on a car to then eat NOODLES..... Is there much money left over??? Your looking at $700-800~ a month with the car payment/insurance/gas and thats IF you get the car at 28k. That doesnt include TIRES, and REPAIRS on the high mileage IS-F.

Ill rather be using that money saving for a HOUSE.. instead of a car that loses value.. 28 is not too young anymore your almost 30 bro. By now it should be HOUSE saving time. Use the money you make wisely to make more for your future.

If you were 21 I would say F@#$ it you only live once BUY THE SUCKER!!! @ 40k~=D

I just turned 26. Just bought a 400k Home, and my new toy now is a C350 that I payed 30k~ for. Much more happier that I took care of the house first and I dont eat noodles all day.

If you really want the car and you say your budget is together. You should be able to afford the car at asking market price now without eating "noodles" all day.

if OVE is 28k that means when it runs through the lane youll pay 22k lol OVE is the highest price they offer to another dealer hoping someone will pay it or has a credit criminal buyer they can nail to the wall

35 obo..... just hit 70k mint condition has paint work but its mint. No moving accidents but have been backed into bumpers twice. bumpers replaced all rock chips take care of due the 1st owner not taking care of paint so I painted 90% of the car. all maintenance up to date car needs nothing. matador red mica have all documents and records extra fobs, floor mats and all stock parts. Fully loaded model with all options.

I can make someones dream come true. reason for time to sell.....gtr!

His Right! I was in the military and made okay money and bought a new IS300 then worked in Saudi Arabia making $5-6k a month tax free with no bills! Didn't save that much and bought an 08 ISF which was 1 of my dream cars which was stupid because I owed it for only 4-5 months and now looking to possibly sell due to me going to Afghanistan for 2-3 years because the job market is too bad.

I'm 27 and biggest mistake was not saving and buying a house. A house value might go down but if you afford one why not? I mean to survive you need a place to live but a car comes and go. After I sell my ISF I;m going to drive my 03 IS300 for 2-3 years and buy another car for no more than 25k including tax. Hopefully the New IS or GS used or an Audi A5.

O YEA anyone interest in a black ISF 2008 PM me!

I second what everyone else says...but if you think you can go for it. Im 29, I allready owned a house and sold it. I drive a 98 f150 beater truck and a my baby the sc400. Would I like a IS-F...yeah. Can I afford it, Yeah, would i get it no! Like elite says its time to plan for future. I sold the house to fund grad school (med, DO or PA hopefully). I would hold off dude, wait a few more years saving. Youll be able to get one cheaper in a few years. By then hopefully youll make more than 4k/mo and can afford anything it throws at ya!

Either way good luck at whatever you decide to get. Get a GTE swapped sc and call it a day...
