WTT: 01 IS300 for SC300 + Cash
I have a 2001 Lexus IS300 E Shift in MSM with black leather/suede I'm wanting to trade for an SC300 + cash. Obviously how much cash depends on what you are looking to trade. Car details are below. Please shoot me a PM or simply reply to this thread. Not looking for an SC400.
2001 IS300
MSM/Black leather/Suede
113K Miles (this is my daily)
A650e w/upgraded sprag and VB
18x8.5 +38 Enkei Evo X GSR Forged Wheels Powdercoated Black w/almost new tires all around
Tokico Struts
Eibach Springs
Cusco rear STB
5-Zigen Catback
Injen Intake
Only "problems" with the car is a crack in the windshield just above the rear view mirror, and a blemished/cracked rear bumper from my wife backing into a newly planted tree a few weeks ago. Other than that the car has the typical things you'd expect to see on a 10 year old 100k+ mile car...minor dings and imperfections in the paint. I'd definitely get the bumper replaced although its only cosmetic and doesn't affect anything else.
My local asking price is right at $9,000 for cash outright if that gives any indication of how much cash I'd be looking for on top of your trade. Would really prefer a 5-speed early SC3, or a 97 Auto...
Car is located about an hour south of Raleigh, NC. Thanks.

I'm open to all offers on this. If you have an SC4 that has a manual conversion or something, I would consider that. I'd really also consider any manual SC w a blown motor, or a 97+ SC3...really just looking for a project to sink my teeth into, or one that is mostly completed. I'm flexible on price pending offers...

So you guys are kinda missing the point. If I sell it outright, I have another project I will happily finish up before I move on. If I trade it for an SC, I'd still prefer the additional cash to finish up the other project too. I will NOT be putting cash in with this car for ANY SC, regardless of mods or condition. I personally would expect cash on top of a 97 Black/Black 5-speed SC3 too...so unless you have that exact combination, I'm definitely going to want money from you...otherwise I'll keep daily driving this thing and fix up the other project as time and money permit.

btw justification for my post is KBB on a 1997 sc300 with same specifications ( 113k miles, cracked windshield, less than $1000 work of body work required, premium wheels) :
Excellent
$7,048
Very Good
$6,748
Good
$6,598
Verify Condition
Fair
$5,848
and a 2001 IS300 with the same mileage conditions:
Excellent
$7,592
Very Good
$7,242
Good
$7,042
Verify Condition
Fair
$6,117
just throwing it out there.

I'm well aware of what KBB is on both cars. And I'm saying that regardless of what KBB says or the rare nature of a 97 SC300 5-speed in immaculate condition....it still isn't worth what a 2001 IS300 is...TO ME.
So, while I appreciate you educating everyone here on how to use KBB to find suggested prices, it really isn't necessary. I've bought and sold enough cars over the last decade to actually take your post as an insult, only because this is 2011...For you to feel the need to copy and paste information from KBB to a website for car enthusiasts either makes me a trolling 15 year old ****head with nothing better to do, or more likely, an ACTUAL retard.
