Very clean reliable meticulously maintained 2000 GS400 Platinum Edition Gold/Tan with an immaculate history including clean carfax, former Certified Lexus Pre-Owned (CPO) car with a rich history of dealer service including most recently: Early timing belt change, new battery, new starter new tires and the infamous 2Gen GS lock fix. Also sub-standard GS stock speakers and head unit replaced with a great sounding Kenwood DVD/CD Player including iPod full integration! iPod cable is stored for safety in glovebox. The car is for sale in DFW area and is from rust free garaged environment, caring family, always meticulously maintained. More than $3k spent in the last couple of years doing necessary and early maintenance. Super low mileage GS400 4.0L V8 with a huge potential to be a care free daily driver for years to come or put some 20" wheels, lower it and modify it for a show car!
This GS400 features a strong, well maintained V8 with all Lexus Dealer History provided, excellent documentation (nothing spared as it was a former CPO car which includes a 161 point inspection and revitalization of the car at the time of purchase which includes 30k/60k service). Smooth powerful, refined and sporty. This GS has a TON of life left in her and to not worry about maintainence history on a Lexus is definitely a piece of mind for the new owner. Loaded with options like homelink, heated seats, memory seats, dual climate controls, fog lights, moonroof, DVD/CD player with iPod connection, upgraded wheels and more!
Even more other unique features besides the low miles and outstanding history on this car is the Platinum Edition option ($3500 new) which includes: Platinum badge on front quarter panel, special 17" wheels, special perforated seats and special edition floor mats. Features the black/carbon colored Lexus emblems on trunk and hood. Other options in the package were memory seats, heated seats and homelink system that came with it. Car does not have navigation however has a Garmin hookup through the a-pillar with the wire cleverly hidden.
Mechanically this car is reallly sound...9/10. May need typical wear and tear stuff for a 86k 12 year old car down the road-but everything works as it should and no problems signs or sounds! The V8 4.0L purrs like a kitten but when you accelerate it growls like a lion. The GS pulls and stops as it should-crisp and firm. No rattles or known issues. The dual exhaust sounds awesome and under the hood it's the relentless pursuit of perfection still 12 years strong and running!
The paint is a 8/10 with a couple of small door dings that have not broken the paint-PDR would definitely fix this and a small area on the passengers door (wouldn't come out on the camera) needs to be buffed and wetsanded as the clearcoat is fading a little. A few small rock chips on hood. Small but noticeable close up-maybe not on a camera. A nice detail/wax/buff with a few dings taken out this car could be a 9/10 easily. Car needs nothing-sign and drive!
The interior is a 8/10 also. White gauges, luxurious mix of multiple materials used makes this a soundproof birdseye maple wood heaven wrapped in heated leather. Tan leather is soil free and crack free as it should, soft and supple and with the peforated special edition seats with piping you have a stylish sporty look to it as well. Leather has minimal wear-no cracks, rips, tears or stains. Smell is fresh. No pets, smoking or even food eaten inside! Floor mats may need a shampoo and overall interior detail, but no chips in the wood or damage to the center console like you see in many older luxury cars with wood interior.
For a 12 year old car this car is an oustanding buy! With a little TLC and detail this car could easily be a 9/10. For $13k obo you are getting a V8 luxury, powerfully loaded with comfort and style and tastefully updated with Nav connections, iPod integration, DVD/CD and the excellent dealer maintenance history makes this car an even better buy. Couple all of this with the rare special Platinum Edition and neutral gold color with tan interior and you've got a winner here!

Do a search for window motor or power window module. common issue. Unfortunately the dealer will charge an arm and leg so if you can find salvage parts and do yourself go for it. One of the greatest features about this era of Lexus‘s how easy it is to work on yourself.

Do a search for window motor or power window module. common issue. Unfortunately the dealer will charge an arm and leg so if you can find salvage parts and do yourself go for it. One of the greatest features about this era of Lexus‘s how easy it is to work on yourself.
