97 SC400 black/black 156xxx
Up for sale is a 1997 Lexus SC400 in all black with 157,XXX miles. About average actually for the year of the car. No accidents. All original. . EVERYTHING WORKS.....AND WORKS WELL!!!!!! The car is in great condition. A/C blows ice cold, heat (and heated front seats) are sauna-room hot, there are no dark spots on the dash cluster or center console and the engine is very responsive. The Nakamichi stereo works great and after 14 years, the 12-disc DC-changer still doesn't miss or skip. The finish has some bird-pooh etchings on the top surfaces that can only be seen up close but nothing a good compound and polish won't improve. There is are a couple minor, reachable dings that need massaging and as is typical with these cars, the top of the rear seat has a tear at the seams. Happened after I removed the tint for inspection. But other that that the interior rocks.
For Lexus and Toyota afficianados, this is a Supra in black tie. Many stock performance parts are compatible in terms of suspension, motor (for the in-line sixes), brakes and wheels. It was my intention to make just such a sleeper. But I've just got too much going on now. For the perfectionist, it could stand to have the steering rack and CV bushings replaced. The front bumper has a slight crack. But nothing's drooping. I bought it like that and never got a chance to replace it. Easy fix. The only extras are a 5000K HID low beam kit, IS300 17-inch wheels and LED conversions for the rear lights.
Priced accordingly at an anti-haggle price of $4200. This is FIRM so don't come at me with your best 'smart buyer' routine. These still command about 5-6 grand on the market.
