96 Lexus SC300 $5000 obo nice mods, great base.
Hey guys up for sale is my 96 Lexus SC300.. The car has 130k and is in good condition. The car was purchased on Clublexus about 2 yrs ago, and I've come to my senses that it's just not a good time to own this car right now, it's not getting the love it deserves. ( plus I own 3 other cars )
Mods: (the goods)
suspension: tein flex coilovers with complete pillow strut mounts.
brakes: ls400 brakes up front, slotted rotors, good pad life.
wheels: 19*8.5 volk gt-c (front) 19*10.5 volk gt-c (rears) perfect offset, with the car slammed pass the wheels it doesn't rub.
engine: unmolested just a HKS replica filter, weld on apex'i sp style mufflers (tseudo) pretty damn good quality looks just like the sp's, shines nice with no rust and sounds great, just a nice low purr, not loud and obnoxious.
interior: normal tan and in good shape, all switches and windows work.
exterior: color matched carbon fiber hood, light window tent, comes with a body kit that I never installed, it's a one off body kit, so there's not another like it, complete new front bumper, rear bumper, and side skirts. The fronts and the rear fit good, with little modification, recommend molding the sides due to poor workmanship, but with a little TLC it can look really nice on the car. Link to the page where I bought the body kit on ClubLexus:

ICE: phase pop out deck, plays mp3's, ipod compatible, dvds, all the regular stuff that those decks play and do, not the highest but it does what it does nicely.(has been in the car for about 6 months, and I rarely drive so it's basically brand new) 10" kenwood speaker in the trunk, small box, thumps hard. Alpine amp with dual RCA inputs. The rest is stock but still sounds very nice especially with the amp and additional sub. CompuStar two way alarm system. Now this is a nice a alarm system, remote start, alarm, auto shut off, set to pop trunk, alarm is triggered into all doors, hood, trunk with adjustable sensitivity, and it's a two way so if the alarm is triggered your key fob goes off and the reception for that is good too. ( short story, was in the mall about 300-500 yds away, my key fob went off, ran out to check and some crooks were running away trying to break in to steal my deck) so yes it's helpful. There are probably other small mods that i forgot to mention but those are the major ones.
now the bad:
needs new paint job, front bumper has paint peeling, rest of car is somewhat dull(poor paint from previous owner/body shop) was planning to paint it with the new body kit but never got to it, but paint job is no where horrendous.
water pump has a slight leak, the car runs and drives fine, but have to top it off every now and then, don't drive it enough to know how many times you would need to top it off under normal driving but it does drive fine as long as you monitor the fluid levels every now and then. Haven't driven the car for awhile now so I was in no rush to replace it, but if I do price of car may be subjected to change, most decently accomplished mechanics can do it themselves.
The front passenger side rim has a slight bend in it(doesn't lose air at all, and doesn't wobble), from the previous owner running over a log, it also put a slight dent in the fender from the bottom side, so it'll probably need to be replaced. Fortunately fenders are a dime a dozen, and cheap. The rest of the rims have very slight curbage (and they are small, I'm just picky), but they shine very nice with a little polish and elbow grease. Was planning to refinish, quoted around $100 bucks per rim.
Steering wheel has the common tearing at the top, and the passenger seat doesn't move forward and back, but it's in a good position now and from what I've researched it's just missing a small pressure cap that when you turn the motors the bolt pushes in this cap and moves the seat. Something easily bought from Lexus for cheap, the motors do work and do attempt to move the seat, seat heaters work great, so does heat and A/C.
Rear brakes need to be changed out soon, easy and cheap job.
I've tried to be as honest as possible, this is a very nice car and with just a few small problems that can be easily addressed or just overlooked depending on how picky you are. The car is currently not being driven cause I have another car that is my daily commuter and this is just my toy that I've grown out of. If you're looking for great car at a great price with quality mods, this is the one. The price is $5000 like quoted above, but I am willing to wiggle a bit if someone comes through fast, just looking for pay off.
Thanks for looking. (pictures will be posted tomorrow, it's raining here today)

and the last set, if any more are requested let me know, and FYI the under carriage is pretty much rust free, it was a southern car before coming up here 5 yrs ago, i never drove it in the winter and the previous owner also never drove it in the winter so no rust underneath...(i did have a chance to look underneath it too at a auto shop i use to run) also, you can look at the pictures from the passenger side to determine how the slight damage on the fender looks like, as you may notice it's almost barely noticeable from a slight distance..
