Default Wtb Sc300

Hello all, im new to the forum. Im selling my 01 Audi S4 and was thinkin about gettin into a modded SC 300. But if I was going to buy a stock one and mod it myself, what would b the way to go? I would like to boost the car, and I want a manual so would I need to go with a 2jz? How much for a new motor and install? Sry for all the newb questions and thanks for all the help!
Mason
Another lil thing I thought I would ask, would i need to upgrade the tranny also?

if you buy the sc300 you already have a 2jz.....just non turbo. you can either upgrade to turbo or buy the 2jz-gte...also very popular the 1jz-gte is a very common swap for our cars. if you just find a manual sc300 and turbo it keep the tranny. the 1jz manual came with the r154 5 speed tranny and the 2jz-gte 6 speed tranny is incredibely expensive.

OK ive got a few more questions. How much hp can you get by keeping the stock twin turbos on the 2jz-gtte? Would that still b the motor i would need to get if i wanted to upgrade the turbo(s)? And are there any advantages b/w the 5 speed and the 6 speed tranny? How much normally for a install of the new motor?
O and thanks alot for the links Shrummi

the car already have turbos.. with my straight pipe setup and delete of mechanical fan and other mods, it is good for 300+ HP I guess,,,
I just don't like auto trans and have no time to do a swap myself.. I am getting rid of this one since I have too many modded cars and want to get a daily... trade is welcome too....

Ok kool, does it have the stock twin turbos from a supra? If I wanted to boost the hp and put a bigger turbo on it, would i need to buy anything else besides the turbo kit?
What does she run in the 1/4 with the setup you have now? thanks

bigger turbo requires mods on the engine, ecu, fuel system, and more...
but SC with 1jz is know to produce more than 600+ HP with single set up...
I do not run my car at the track, or on the street, I built my car just for enjoyment and show offs...

1jz is 2.5 liter I6 and supra is 3.0 2JZ, they are similar engine but different...
turbos are different too... just to answer your question..
