Here's the low-down on this car.
- 52K orig. miles
- 3rd owner; CARFAX history guaranteed of course with no accidents
- VIN = JT8BH68X1X0020871
- Car has all options including Nak and HIDs and without Navi
- Asking best offer over 19500 as I have over 23 and change invested (my area has a shortage
of these cars and very few with this low of mileage)
- Car is bone stock
- Work done in last 8000 miles includes:
1. New timing belt & water pump (preventative due to 6 yrs. old vs mileage)
2. New rear Brembo rotors and new pads
3. New Michelin Pilot Sport tires and 4 new 17" stock wheels
4. New stock Plugs
5. Mobil-1 oil changes
All work performed by well-known local Toyota & reputable Import mechanic with about a total of $3500-4000 invested.
The car has had not been into a Lexus dealer since 10K miles and I saw no reason with the mileage to spend exhorbitant prices for a car with only 44K miles (when I bought it) on it at a Dealer I've not been happy with in the past.
Car's idiosynchrocies:
- The common & well-know low-idle issue (research threads all over here about it and not a big
deal unless you want to throw money away)
- Needs a throttle cable adjustment and/or and throttle body clean-out as it sticks ever-so-
slightly when accelerating at cruise speeds from what I can tell
- A few cosmetic scratches - one on the hood that's been touched up, one on pass-side door
(small door scrape) and driver-side tailpipe is slightly tweaked due to someone backing up
into something minor. These small thigns came with the car and I would attribute these items
to basic stupidity by say an older-person owning the car before me.
I mention these to be upfront and plain honest as there are people who do expect absolute perfection in vehicles for dirt-cheap prices and I don't need to waste anyone's time including my own. If you want the most perfect ride with all Lexus services checked-off in the Dealer service book, then please look elsewhere. If you want a low-mileage ride that has all major service up-to-date with little to invest in the car upfront, then consider that as me not offering any excuses for this car, just the facts as a person who's owned tons of cars in the past.
