Did you get a chance to hear the motor run at all?!

Great pictures. Like a softer version of the LFA. Looking forward to see it in person and a test drive.

Beautiful car. Wish he would have lifted the hood.

Sales guy today said Lexus is aiming for spring 2017 release of this beast. High 90's estimated.

I was told by a salesman Aug/Sept '17 as an '18 year model. Seems legit....just don't see them bringing out a 2017 model car in Spring of '17...just far too late.

True, though according to reports the chassis is even stiffer than the LFA, so it should handle beautifully.

Spoke to local dealer and said pricing to start in 80s (USD).

As wide as the *** is on the LC how it doesn't come standard with 11" rears would be a shame. At least offer them as option. I'm trying to spend 80-100k without having to aftermarket the &$@ out of this.

But it doesn't even have enough power to justify 11" rears stock lol. Although it would look great...

That's up for debate. It'll use the F v8 drivetrain tweaked further for faster 0-60 times. If it won't stick, it won't launch hard. Current gsf and rcf drivers complain that they'll spin tires through first and second gear, maybe third, with pilot Super sports, which are fairly sticky summer rubber in a decently wide tire. Then again they're not sport cups so they could be stickier, maybe compromising wet performance, which the super sports handle very well.

With any rear wheel drive car putting down decent power you can never really have too much tire out back. Think of the muscle cars from the 60's and 70's running huge rubber, they needed it and I think modern cars with decent power still need it. I know alot has changed since then with tire formulas and of course low profile tires, but regardless, there are a lot of performance cars running around with not enough rubber under the back.

I am pretty amped for this car, but I suspect it is still going to be more of a tourer than a drag racer. We shall see.

I'd love for them to be chasing the 911, but it seems they are more obsessed with the Mercedes SL.

If it ends up being more on the touring side, then I at least can hope for a soft-top.

It's anyone's guess at this point but this is a new chassis that the LS will borrow also. I wouldn't be surprised to see a soft top or hard-core F variant.

I don't really understand the point of this car.

The RC-F looks much better as a coupe

The LC500 has certain likable cues up front but the rear is a total mess that has really messy lines and shapes.
