Default Launch Control?

I was always under the impression that the LC 500 did not have launch control, but this video demonstrates that the car indeed does have it. Is this a new feature for 2022 or do all models have this? Also I couldn't find anything in the owner's manual about launch control. Is there any official documentation on how to use it?

That’s not launch control that’s just holding the brakes and releasing it at 2k rpm.

You can do that right now on your car.

P.s not sure why we even need to do this. Our cars weight 4000+lbs. there are no traction issues at launch with only 471hp and almost 400ftlbs of torque.

I would not even go as far as to call it a Launch. It's more of a Lurch, an excellent way to tear up your car!
