Wear and Tear Question

If this is a leased vehicle, Lexus has a third party inspector determine what exceeds "normal" wear and tear. It may be a good idea to place something under the car seat if you believe the car seats will leave excessive marks on your vehicle seats.

I, too have placed a car seat in the back seat, but I have purchased 2 thick full sized bathing towels and I fold one in half the long way, then fold in the edge along where the seat meets the back rest, about 4". I then do the same thing with the other towel and place it on top of the first one, then place the car seat on top of the two towels. The reason for folding in the 4" near the seat crease is because on my daughters car seat, that is where the bottom of the seat seems to be rounded and pokes more so downward, and would definitely, over time, damage the seat. I also plan on, once a week, removing the towels, and wiping with Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil to keep the leather moisturized. A great product for warmer months is 303 Aerospace Protectant.
Hope that helps, and good luck!
