Default does installation cost more b/c it's a lexus?

i was thinking about doing some car audio install by myself but i don't think i have enough experience or time. I did an audio install on my old 84 240 volvo but i pretty sure my ls400 will be quite different. Which brings me to my question, do car audio stores charge more to do installs on a lexus and if so how much more? Also if anyone knows a good car audio store in the Bay Area, that would also be great =).

Well some of the time unfortunately if I shop sees a lex or bimmer or any high-end car they will usually shoot up the installation price. Around NY, the price USUALLY for installing 4 speakers (front + back) 2 tweeters, plus ONE sub with deflex installation is around $500-$700 from what I have seen.

I got that from a car stereo chain, so I went a few blocks down to a place where I know the guys personally and planning on getting my install in a few weeks for less. Really, if you're getting new speakers, new head unit, new sub, full rewire with a five channel amp, what could make the price higher than any other car?
