does anyone know how to find a lock smith that can cut the master remote key that I can get from eBay in Los Angeles, CA area? I called a few local lock smiths and they said they can't cut those high security keys.

I found the locksmith to cut mine in the phone book (here in central Oklahoma). I'd suggest just keep trying locksmiths. They have to have a special machine to cut the keys. You just have to find someone that laid out the bucks for this machine.

It's really pretty cool. They put the key in and the machine first traces the key grooves and then comes back with the factory Lexus code. From there, it cuts the key to the factory specs which makes the copied key better than the (worn) one that they're copying.

Now, there are two main vendors selling keys on eBay. I believe that both of them will cut your key for you BUT you have to send them a key to copy from. I only had one key and I wasn't about to trust that to the postal service, UPS, FedEx or anyone else for that matter!

Good luck in your search!

If all you have is a valet key, can you get keys cut for a Lexus?

Or do you need to have at least one master key?

I'm hopeful this programming will work for my 92 SC300. I purchased a blank from eBay to make a spare.

Thanks!

I just purchased a 92 sc400 and when I hit the key fob to open door it just locks and keeps clicking until I press the fob again and it stops but still stays locked. Even after new batteries have been put in. Any suggestions here?
