Default Alpine CDA-9813 installed

After a huge headache and mess from the first install of amps/subs/speakers, I finally decided to take the plunge and upgrade the headunit after the cd changer died completely.
I took it to another shop and I must say the difference between the factory unit and the alpine CDA-9813 is INCREDIBLE. The install was total of $225 and I'm very happy with the work. The only gripes you can make is that there's a slight gap near the bottom but that actually has more to do with the camera angle and the flash. In the cockpit I didn't notice it at all.

Below are the two pictures and I want to thank PCMW and ONELASTTRY for all their support over the past 6 months.

i'll post a night picture soon. one of the reasons i went w/ the 9813 is because of the green matches with the climate control (okay, not exactly, but stayed w/ the green color).

its weird now because the stock volume **** doesn't do anything. i'm wondering if I can fabricate it for some other use... like maybe change it into a red START button like the S2K or the Ferrari's or something.

also, where do you guys put the remote for the HU? it's a pain to open the arm rest everything. I'm thinking maybe tape a velcro thingy for it somewhere but not sure where.
gosh it feels good to get a mod done right finally... too bad i missed the recent JIC GB.

looks pretty good! why don't you just put the remote in the pocket under the radio? I would never velcro anything in my car...

i have an alpine IVA in my car right now and i never use the remote. It's much easier for me to just reach a little bit and control the darn thing by hand... but that's just me
