Normal temperature on a M/L amp ?

Hi !

I have a GS 2013 with the M/L sound system
Yesterday when i did clean out the trunk i found the M/L amp installed in the right side ,
very well covered.... It was very hot to the touch.
Anyone know what is normal operation temperature for these amps ?
I assume there is a small fan in it ,just wondering if it is working or not
Since it is so enclosed and nowhere for the hot air to go i suspect it might get burning hot anyways....
cant be good for the the amp lifespan...

2103? Amp has tempature protection circuit built-in. By the time it triggers usually circuit is cooked. Most amps. are like this.

yes back from the future hehh , no 2013...fixed now :-)

yea it was unhealthy burning hot compared to how i would like an amp to be...
i could make a mesh lid instead of the factory trunk cover fairly easily , but not sure if it will help much ...
