Default Auto Windows

Has anyone converted both windows to be fully auto up and down on the SC?
How about the sunroof? Anyway to get rid of the anoying half way stop when closing?

How hard could this be?

I am kinda with you on that, I have pondered this myself since I have had my SC.... I would like it if you could get both windows to go down fully on an auto mode, now coming up I would think could be a danger, that is why no windows (factory) on any car (at least any I have seen) have never gone up with a auto mode.... and the sunroof would be cool it if had a auto open like on the Toyota Celica's..... So my main point is it would be nice if I could mod the windows to at least open fully on auto....

onelasttry ??? any input here ??

Actually I drove an RX as a loaner and all the windows front and back went up and down auto as well as the sunroof. My 94 BMW 3 series windows all when down auto and the front window went up auto.

I would have to say that nobody every had their arm chopped off in my car.

All you need is a timed relay.

To vondy21: I was not trying to be an *** or anything I was just saying "I" have never saw windows on any car go up on auto (one push of a button) and when I got to thinking about it I could see where it could be dangerous because if someone is sticking something out the window and the driver goes to put the window up with out knowing, this could maybe hurt someone... But like I said I would really like to have this if I could, I hate holding the button down LOL.

To onelasttry: Is this a common relay?? How would it hook up to the window buttons?? And would it be easy to do ???

LOL Sorry about all the questions....

oh boy, your gonna make my head hurt with that one

You need to google search "timed relay" and learn about them. once you know what they are, you'll understand it far better than i could explain it. then we can work on getting one in your car from there.

LOL, ok onelasttry, I was going to look into the relays more when I got into work to get a better understanding of them, just wondering if you would have had any info But I will look into them and get back with you I need to learn more about electronics anyways... just been so damn busy working all the time More work then sleep the past few wks....

vondy21, no no, I just wanted to state that just in case you took it as so... Didn't want you thinking I am a "know it all", because I have ALOT to learn still and I know it I don't mind learning, the more you know the better off

i did this for all 4 windows in my IS

I used DEI window alarm modules...(you will need One module for every two windows) Install can be done by anyone that is competent by anyone that can install a car alarm as the wiring is simpler. The most tedious part is wiring into each door. Now, from any door or drivers door one tap up/down goes all the way up or down or hold and release at desired level.
