Is it possible to get a navigation update for an 06 vehicle?

In the process of advertising my GX470 for sale, I've been asked whether or not it is possible to update the navigation system to bring it more up to date. I don't know anything about this, is it possible? If so, how much does it cost? I know I could just go ask a dealership, but I figured I might get a more straight answer on here about whether it actually works WELL or not.
