new amp in protection mode when preamp in is plugged! why??
I just installed my Hertz HE4 amp on a 2003 rx330.
the factory navi & AC work fine with the resistor trick from Metra.
The ML amp is out of the combination but until i get my sound deadener, im running my ML speakers.
The question is, as soon as I plug the pre amp inputs from my aftermarket setup, the amp goes into protection mode. I remove them and amp is back to normal.
But these audio cables are stinger ones which cost about 50 apiece. How can they be faulty?
Does anyone have an answer? Has anyone come across this? what was the solution? Thanks!
