'98 ES300 Aftermarket Head Unit and Factory Speakers/Amp?
Hello, I have a '98 ES300 whose Pioneer deck's LCD has died and I want to install an aftermarket head unit. It's a JVC KD-X320BTS. I have the Metra 70-8112 harness already connected to the respective color on the JVC harness. The Scosche LS2081B dash kit is on the way.
I'm keeping the factory amp, speakers, tweeters, and sub. (I wouldn't mind finding out how to remove the CD Changer as well.)
Sorry if the questions are dumb, I have no idea about anything regarding car audio!

- Will the RCA from the HU and harness work with the factory amplifier?
- If not, the JVC harness has its own set of +/- Front Rear Left Right output wires, will these work with the factory amplifier?
- Will I have to do separate wiring for the sub/tweeters?
Sorry if the questions are dumb, I have no idea about anything regarding car audio!

Update
- The RCA from the HU to the amplifier works.
- Sub and tweeters work without any additional wiring.
Now I just have to fix the amp pop when turning off the unit. What's the best way to get rid of it for a Lexus?

I did the same thing to my 98 ES300 that had the Nakamichi system.
I bought a JVC KWAV61BT 6.1-Inch DVD-CD-USB Bluetooth Receiver and JVC KS-U30 USB Video Cable for iPod and iPhone to go with it.
If my memory serves me correctly I had to buy 1 harness and a converter for the unit to play nice with my OEM Nakamichi speakers. I had to bring the car back to Best Buy because the subwoofer wasn't tied into the speakers, the manager knew what the installer missed and made a appointment to have him install a converter to make the subwoofer work (I paid $40). This Nakamichi system blows away my ML in my LS430 (my next project to tear out ML and do aftermarket speakers, amplifiers, and subwoofer). I did this about 4-5 years ago sorry I can give you a straight answer on the popping sound when turning off the amp, seems like somethings missing or not hooked up right.
