Default Adding a single sub to a IS250, few questions

Got a single sub and amp coming in tomorrow.. been reading up, but have a few questions:
  1. I ordered a Line Out Converter.. will this be needed?
  2. If yes, which wires should I tab into on the back of the stock HU?
  3. If no, where do I hook up my RCAs to provide signal to the new amp
  4. The factory Sub and Amp.. where are they located?
  5. Should I power down the factory Sub and Amp?

I read where it's possible to tap into the RCA input of the factory sub/amp..any truth to this?

Also.. since I am using the stock HU, what's the best way to flatten out the signal to the sub as much as possible? I plan to add a Clean Sweep eventually.

Thanks!

In terms of the factory Sub/Amp, for sound quality purposes, I do want to completely eliminate it from the sound field. Would the best way to do this simply be to disconnect a power wire or speaker wire?

Based on the wires, should I tap into the Left/Right outputs at the HU, or the Subwoofer outputs after the OEM Sub Amp?

I may be reading the chart wrong... but it shows "Audio Single Outputs to OEM Amplifier" as White/Black and Red/Green ...

and then "OEM Amplifier Outputs to OEM Speakers" Subwoofer as Brown/Light Green, Pink/Blue.

Which of these wire sets would be best to tap into? I'm guessing the wires before the amp, after the headunit.. Should I simply pick either White/Black or Red/Green and tap into them for the LOC?

I'm simply 100% new to LOCs. Always just had PreAmp outputs on aftermarket headunits.

I ended up going with the Front Woofer wires after the amp. Red/White and Brown/Pink. Sub is working, but needs tuning and to be broken in. I still plan on getting the LC2i soon, as I imagine it will make the system sound much better than this passive crossover.

!The LC2i is a must! Better than the LOC. You can adjust it so the bass won't roll off!
