Sound System
After much searching and lots of fustration... I NEED HELP!
This is how it went:
I went to the car wash and was listenting to music. Turned off my car, turned off my cd player then proceeded to wash my car. (Pressure bay type car wash) When I was done, I turned on my cd player and NO SOUND came out. Not even static, it was just NO SOUND. Then I tried the radio, same thing. So I turned off the system. Then I hear a very light "click" (that noise you hear when you turn off speakers). I turned off my car, and turned it back on. Same problem, no sound at all until I turn off the system.
Possible problems:
1) Wet my AMP when I washed my car. Nope I didn't I checked.
2) Blown speakers. Nope I know what blown speakers sound like and there is no sound coming out.
3) Does my sound system have a fuse? Where? I haven't checked this out yet.
Thats about it for now. Have any of you experienced this problem before? And if so, what do you recommend.
Thank you!
Michael

The fuse for your audio is in the engine bay next to the battery.
See your owner's manual to find which of the fuses is the right one.
Quite possibly you might have wet your amp. See if the plastic hose leading from the gas lid is connected.
I've blown two Nak amps in one of those pressure car wash bays.
Yup, I'm that moron.

check the fuse block. look at all the fuses because the power antenna might have a bad seal that allowed water to go into the shaft (which you wouldnt see) and run down inside the electronics in the antenna (yes there are some) and cause a short. this being the case, there could be two fuses blown. so just get under the dash in the drivers kickpanel and under the hood also and check them all. good luck!
