Default repairing Nakamichi Amplifier?

I bought this amp for a dollar, plugged it in and all it does is thump the speakers and the subwoofer, took it apart and saw these parts burnt

I should be able to just have those few components replaced right? I did some research and found a couple of them very cheaply

is there anyone out there that would give me a tailored price, or is is ALWAYS the "Nakamichi Amp repair $300" ??

Try these guys - http://www.db-r.com/

I have a friend in the Memphis area that may try if all else fails. I provided a blown Behringer EP-2500 for his first attempt into repairing pro amps.

Since you are in California, try this guy: http://factoryradioservice.com/index.php

"John" installed a 3.5mm aux-in to the back of my Nakamichi, provided a 6' audio cord and installed an on/off switch on the front. of my head unit. First rate workmanship and service.

You didn't see the repair request form? http://factoryradioservice.com/page_2.html

You might send John an email before you send your Nak and ask if he thinks he can do the repair. If you are in the L.A. area you could probably drop it off: Factory Radio Service, 9155 Archibald Ave, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730

John also sells used radios and amps on eBay - http://stores.ebay.com/factoryradios If you don't see what you need, contact him.

It would help if you put your model and model year in your profile or a signature that shows up in your posts. 1992 MR2? I determined by looking at your previous threads that you may have a 1993 SC400. I see several used Nak amps currently on eBay that are said to fit a 93 SC - prices are all over the map.

Alright I emailed them, I didnt want to just mail off my amp without some sort of quote or seeing if they even repair them, and I am in Nothern California, and when I signed up for the site I didnt have my SC, I should change that.

Very odd that you did not hear back - the phone number for Factory Radio Service I see listed is 909-944-8844.

They also repair household electronics operating under a different name: http://www.stereoandvideorepairco.co...d%20phone.html
