I ran all new wires to bypass my amps inorder to use my factory speakers with an aftermarket headunit....When i pull out the speaker it has four wires...two green and two brown...which are the ones coming from the radio (so i can put the new wires there)...I put the new wires on the terminals where the green wires were and it sounds like crap...like the music is miles away!...this is a gs300 new to me and I have never heard these speakers play...could they be blown?? I am pretty sure there is nothing wrong with my HU.

 

you will need an amp. the reason why it sounds like crap is if i remember our stock speakers are 2 ohms. your headunit probly isn't pushing out enough power to the speakers. just upgrade speakers. or get an amp.
