It seems everyone is having problems initially when using the LC2i. I ran my power wire and ground last week when I had some extra time. I need to still run my remote and speaker inputs. I was going to tap into the ML amps harness but decided not to. Thank you for clearing things up for me. Hopefully I get it right on the first shot!

well for me, trying to use the LC2i to trigger the amp, etc, was a waste of time. not saying it won't work that way, it just didn't on my car. since you have to run power anyway, might as well run the remote and power for the LC2i at the same time. my setup has been noise and trouble free, and the LC2i lets you adjust and tune easily.

its funny i tried audio control in a competition system almost 20 yrs ago..it was problematic then..an its upsetting that theyre just as twitchy 20yrs later.. i wish there were more options..

after a dozen emails with the A.C. tech dept ..theyre best option was to buy a different audio control product to fix the issue. so if they know 1 doesnt work why just fix the f'n problem...rather than suggest i spend even more money.. fyi i have (2) LCQ1's they say i should try the LC7 now... (anyone wanna buy an LCQ1 lmao)

Keep us posted Shibumi.
I found this thread about an install in a GS and about 13 rows down, if you click on the pic, you can see how the person talks about how the subs werent sounding right and tapped into the front 6x9s to get what they wanted. Im still on the ropes about this.

Finished my install today and I had zero issues!!!

I ran a dedicated power source from the battery. Added an extra fuse to the ignition on the passenger side. I then unplugged the ML sub and pulled the pos/neg wires out of the harness and ran that straight to the lc2i. Hooked up the amp and sub then cranked up the car and BAM! Adjusted the frequencies on the lc2i and amp and its golden. No issues at all and very straight forward.

I am currently running a Zed Minotaur with a IDQ10V2 in a BS little sealed square box. I found a molded 4080 box and waiting on my Hertz HX300. I really wish I didn't sell my Ultimo 12 now

does your ML have the dolby DTS system.. i think the ML in the LS is a bit different than the IS i have seen a few IS installs with little or no problems.. my parts just came in.. as soon as i have time (maybe this weekend) i'll start the process again...

UPDATE ML sub issue solved!!!! (mids are another nightmare) all thats needed is a 12ohm 100watt resistor (5bucks on fleabay) wired across the input leads to the processor.. connect one lead to positive input and the other lead to negative.. then connect as normal.. basically is shows the amp that a speaker is connected so the amp doesnt go into protect mode an reduce output...

good luck..

Is there a way to connect from the pre-input from the amp instead of post amp output? I mean, somehow, the ML amps are getting signal from the headunit so it can amplify it...right? I don't know much about car audio and trying to figure mine out.

In that case, you won't need LC2i.

I'm considering adding a sub to my ML system. Does anyone have a pin out drawing or diagram of the wires used? I would appreciate it. Thanx!

Hi quick question. I have a 2006 is350. Is a lc2i really needed? Or is any line output converter okay? And I have a ML system. Do I have to remove the head unit at all to install subs?
